What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Looked like half the Sahara had been dumped on the car in the last rainstorm. So hosed it off and gave it a proper wash.

Tested my new customised foam and shampoo...

Given it a right good interior and exterior clean.

^ {Diplomatic hat on} What do peoples Wives/Girlfriends make of that...?

New thrust arm and rear sub frame bushes fitted this morning, cheers Olly Jack and graham, then very loud testing:D

My 190 2.5 has had the entire suspension pretty much sorted, new front shocks, correct springs all round, control arms, bushes etc. I pick it up on Wednesday, the transformation is described as total.

Which hopefully completes all the work on that car for the medium term, just a couple of small things to sort.

While I'm waiting for the seat badge to arrive from Germany, I've cleaned up and died the leather in the car - seats, centre console cover, door handles and other various leather parts that showed age. Looking much better now:

That looks very successful, was it easy enough to do?

Thanks, pretty much.

Clean the leather, dab the paint on to a microfibre towel, rub first layer in all the cracks and creases, let dry, repeat 2-3 times.

For my W124 estate - Researched removing the lower body cladding and making sure everything is right behind there. Looks like a bit of a task when I get around to it... But worthwhile as there is evidence on this forum that I'll find soil behind the cladding. Plenty of it.

Got the 190 MOT'd with a couple of advisories but nothing too onerous. Now where can I get someone who can sort out my failed drivers side rear electric window regulator?

After several hours washing and polishing it on Saturday, I was a bit miffed to see it covered in the Sahara dust on Monday, so I left work early today and gave it a wash and "Last Touch", to restore its pristine-ness.

Mine was also covered in dust so it has just had a wash and dry. Will have to wait until Sunday for some more work
