Today I pumped some Waxoyl into the subframe on my S212. It had been replaced by Mercedes for the previous owner, some 18 months and 13,000 miles ago, and it still looks to be in very good condition. Mine had a very small amount of dirt in the opening, which I was able to remove with a dry paintbrush and an air line.

Then I used a Schutz gun with an extension lance to reach into the subframe to spray the Waxoyl in. I heated the Schutz can first with a sous vide pod :-)

I plan to make some kind of 'mudguard' to go over the end of the subframe, behind the wheel arch liner, just to help keep dirt out.

Put my A205 Cabriolet into secure winter storage, with an insurance discount on top as long as the car stays overnight in the storage. So if I do want/need the car out anytime then all good. No need to mess around with SORN31f7e6fa-7d04-4c6b-ad39-8310958aadba.jpeg👍
