Which fuel do you guys use?

It's the cleaning properties of fuel that is as important to me as performance, which is why I prefer to buy fuel from a fuel company and not a greengrocer.

Go to the refinery and see where the greengrocer gets his petrol from.you are right though the additives in vpower in particular, are a ball winner.

Tesco 99ron or v-Power in the ducati...

The cheapest I can get in all the other cars/bikes... can't see it making a difference (hornets nest, I know).

The one fuel that I really liked (because it fixed the sticky fuel guage in the W202 years ago) was the 10% ethanol stuff sold in morocco...

m.

:D

I hear you bud.
I am also referring to what happens after fuel leaves the refineries.
I saw someone filling up at a Tesco and I'm sure I saw jelly tots coming out of the gun....

lol

Tesco 99RON is 5% ethanol. I use it all the time. But some handbooks slate the use of ethanol in fuels. Either way the car loves it and so do the MPG

Like the majority I have always used shell V power in the Mercedes :thumb: It was also recommended by the mechanic who remapped my Focus st.

I was a steadfast VPower user until I took a driving holiday in Wales earlier this year and a combination of location and recommendation from the chap organising it meant a daily fill of Tesco Momentum. I haven't even bothered to check the mpg since switching but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the pop and bang factor has increased now to the point of occasional hilarity :)

98RON, as per the manual.

For me this means VPower, which is the closest 98RON outlet to me.

I have BP Ultimate within 1/4 mile, but the manual says no.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I'll try Tesco for my next tank to see how that compares to my very first tank which was V Power

John

BP Ultimate at 97 RON + Millers additive = 99 RON its what I used to use on the Audi as we have a BP station 1 mile from us. Strangely enough I usually use V Power on the MB but tonight have filled up with Ultimate + Millers :thumb:

Indeed, very strange behaviour. :dk:

I really think AMG should screen their potential customers more.
They seem to be catering for retards now

Anyway, as I said, he seems clueless about the simplest of tasks, like selecting suitable fuel for his car, so I'm pretty sure my "mrs" will be safe.

Probably end up trying to put his condom on his ear :D

Why the downer on Tesco fuel ?

Serious question.
