Yes; double - no, triple - yes if I find a low-mileage E55K estate in the right colour - not black, not silver. There must be one out there still. The E350 is nice, but I miss the torque hit of the M113; boy, do I miss it!

For me it really depends on what is about that fits my needs at the time.

I got mine because I wanted another 4 seater convertible. I would have got another Saab 9-3 but they had gone out of production so I had a look around. As we have a teenager I also needed on that had a reasonable amount of leg room in the back, so it needed to be of a decent size. Having looked at what was available it came down in the end to a choice between the Audi A5 S-Line or the E class AMG Sport models. The Audi felt like you sat on it, whereas the Merc at least felt like you were in the car. The Audi felt more up to date all round, just not that comfortable.

So I went for the E-Class. It has been very reliable, although it has turned out to be as characterless as I feared it would.

So, I would not discount another, although the next generation E class convertible looks like it fell from the ugly tree and hit most branches on the way down. This trend of make every Mercedes look the same and you have to play spot the difference to see what model it is, and them all resembling something Volkswagen would put out does put me off.

I thought I could live with a car with less character, but I am feeling this is not as easy and will put this higher up the list next time.

The issue you have is the 4 cylinder ( petrol or diesel? )The difference the 6 makes to the whole cars character is unreal.

When I get into a 220/250 diesel compared to the V6 , it's just literally worlds apart.

il be sticking the Mercedes Brand from now on hopefully. Had my W204 Coupe for a year now and I still look forward to driving it in the morning.

I already have an Idea what I'm wanting next, but I'm planning on keeping my current car for a good few years, then il treat myself for my 40th

I have an Uncle that works for Audi and he's also going on about the latest Audis, sometimes even gets some home with him, but when I was growing up, Mercedes just had that reputation of being a Class (excuse the pun) above.

I'll probably have another. What is massively disappointing about my CLK is the amount of money it costs to keep on the road, even though it's only done 40k miles. I have a 2010 Mondeo (had it from new) which never costs more than consumables at its service and simply never goes wrong. How can Ford get it right and Merc not make things that continue to work. I know the MB is more complex but my Ford is a top of the range model with every extra so it's got a lot of electronics on board. Which never fail to work. The CLK, on the other hand, has had a lot of niggles. Never anything major, but still irritating.

But I'd have another as I love the brand. CLK still feels a million dollars. The Mondeo feels like a taxi cab.

Ford - for me - is perhaps one of the best brands out there. Absolutely zero street cred BUT they are fantastic cars, especially for the price you can buy them for. I really rate them having had many over the years and never had an issue with any of them. Still miss my Mk1 Focus!!!!!!!

Having spent a lifetime with Mercedes-Benz ( grew up with them as the family cars ) and have driven them continuously for 40 odd years , think the most I ever had at the one time was five , have completely lost count of how many have passed through my hands , and currently just have the SL and the 190 , it's inconceivable that I won't have more .

I think the main thing missing from my fleet is a load carrier , so most likely another S124 or S123 may appear at some point ( failing that a Golf or Passat estate ) .

I certainly won't be going newer as I had a bad experience with the S203 and don't want anything I can't maintain myself .

I've had my B Class for 2 years now and it has been a pleasure to own so, yes, I'd buy another.

However, I have no allegiance to any manufacturer. I decide what I need from a car, make a list of potential candidates then go and drive them. On this occasion, Mercedes won over BMW. Next time, who knows?

Nope, spend a fair amount of time with the V6 as well as I used a mates for 6 weeks whilst he was away. Apart from a nicer sound the performance vs economy made it not worth having. Also may have dodged a bullet as his convertible and another friends W212 350 saloon have both been far less reliable despite being the same age.

Its just as characterless with 250 or 350 engines. Don't get me wrong, its a fine car for getting from A to B, well built, reliable, but pretty boring driving experience.

I have always preferred cars which are slightly different, quirky even. Hence previous cars being brands such as Alfa Romeo.

I am in no hurry to change it as I don't dislike it in any way, just don't currently believe I would buy another Mercedes unless it was significantly different to the newer models. I'd sooner look at the likes of Jaguar or maybe even 2 cars, something fun like a roadster and something practical.

Not really in the need of a full blown AMG, and even if I were looking for that sort of car again I would go more towards Italian or Japanese cars.

I have never been a badge person, just what suits what I need at that time, so sticking to one brand isn't really something that influences me.

I love my 73` 450 SL and my 98`c240 . I hate my wife`s 2001 A160 Elegance and have just bought her a 60 plate Kia Soul 2 CDTI . the A class will be up for sale tomorrow , due to the dreaded "f" mode recurring a number of times .

I'm a first timer with MB, I bought a GLC 250 last August and love the car, I'm a little annoyed at the crabbing issue but that's all, everything else is great, it's powerful, quiet, fairly economical, very very comfortable and I think it looks great too.

I had an 2010 E350 cdi Cabrio - great car did everything really well but a bit bland. Now ... I've just bought the same car but as an E500 with a 4.7 BiTurbo engine ... not lacking in character ... very silly car!!

I love my C250d, it does everything I need it to, plus it's fairly quick, fairly economical and fairly comfortable!

Not too sure if I'd buy another though.....

The new VED has really put me off as I begrudge paying a premium for a car costing £40k+ list.

My head says stick with the C250d until it's impractical to keep it any longer, but my heart says buy a 5.0L Mustang! At under £40k it's only £140pa to tax

Ideally I'd like a C43, but I'm not paying £450 a year to tax a car :/

We've enjoyed our C250d too, but it has had so many electrical niggles and the local dealer has been so poor at sorting them out that I don't think I can buy another Mercedes.
Just have to decide whether to keep it until it's 4 years old or chop it when it hits 3. Trouble is, if I'm to avoid diesel I can't see much out there that takes my fancy. Can't do a plug-in as I park in the street.

I had 2009 E Class estate sport version 3 years ago had it for about 18 months before swapping it (partly due to hard ride with the low profile tyres) for Mitsubishi Outlander 3, Wife has a 2012 SLK from new and I only drive it if I'm forced (hate the thing) its feels like a big lumbering lump comparing it with the old SLK 2002 model that she had before.
I have purchased another merc (price range less than £1800) but will never go for new/nearly new mercedes again as the more you spend the more you stand to loose, yes it the same with any brand, but one pays heavily for the badge on mercs these days and and there no better than any other make "read the other day that the latest A class is powered by Renault engine" !! The last real merc in my opinion was the 190E.

I just traded the 220 coupe for the new VW Tiguan R line. Complete change of vehicle type but didn't look at another Mercedes as I found the W204 coupe to be noisy, both engine and road noise, suffered from interior creaks and rattles, the radio button surround was in my opinion nasty cheap plastic along with several other niggles which for a car with only 28k miles and 4 years old was not quite the build quality I had expected for a Mercedes.

I have just ordered my first Mercedes after 25 years of BMW's. My beemers have always been rock solid with the exception of my current one and I have always had great service from my dealership so it's a nervous transition over to a different manufacturer
