All C43 AMG owners - What shall I do?

And in addition, for those on 21" factory wheels, there are no winter tyres for the 21" wheels, so other alloys are a necessity in addition to the excellent points made above.
didn't know they fitted 21" wheels to C43's

More of a difficult situation with the GLC, what size are the tyres on those? I'm guessing the £4000 price was based on a C43?

Yeh I understand what you're saying but I doubt that you would cause £3000 worth of damage to the alloys changing them. Obviously I won't tell you how to spend you're money and it's down to preference! Also going on the basis of my assumption yours is a C43 and not the GLC43? At 18/19" £750 is the same price I got quoted per wheel for the black 19" AMG wheels for my 45. Seems excessive for winter wheels definitely!

Didn't say I was going to spend the 4K on wheels and tyres, just wanted thoughts on what seemed an extortionate price.

Was the £750 just for wheels or wheels with tyres?

Yes was for a C43 given this is a C43 thread. Seems to have been some confusion as some members are commenting on GLCs as well

What size are your Summer tyres?

Per alloy without tyre is what I assumed.
But yeh £4000 is a ridiculous amount to shell out for winter wheels. I'm working in Germany so winter tyres are compulsory, luckily because of that their is a lot more competition on prices here so they seem much cheaper than the UK

My apologies Mr Moderator - the thread is indeed regarding the C43 but based started based upon the experiences as highlighted by us GLC owners in the first place.

Ps. Its foggy outside as well :bannana:

My bosses S63 did this today when I was in the car. He said it's been doing it all winter but like me he's been in Quattro's for the last 6 years and not put off by it.

A website has launched to aid those owners affected to group together and collate securely information.

https://www.mercedescrabbing.org

It would be good when those affected register to aid communication across the various online communities.

There has now been a press release to dealerships on this subject, which we received on Friday. I'll share the detail when I get to work

My C63S coupe did what I assume to be this from the rear wheels, when turning from stationary into a petrol station from the main road yesterday - doesn't do it normal driving so I'm not bothered.

I've been getting some reports from new buyers where they are asked to sign a form to say they've been made aware of this characteristic. Have you heard about this?

i noticed that the new e43 model in the dealership that was parked on full lock was also folding on its sidewall... perhaps an inherent design flaw? or not? my w204 c63 also crabbed only on full tilt.

Please can you share this Press Release information?

Thank you

Out of interest, are there any C43 owners on this forum who have not experienced this skipping issue?

Not sure whether the OP is still around, also not sure whether C43 owners will be asked to sign it as well. But on the following link you can see a copy of the waiver Mercedes-Benz UK will ask you to sign.

Still want that C43 ;)
