One thing i notice regarding people saying about mileage range... are any of you setting the sat nav before these drives??

I recall reading if you set the sat nav on a route the car will work out for you on which sections of the route it will use the engine over EV, ie.. up hill engine, flat and downhill ev...

this is ment to improve the EV mileage range.

Its detailed in the product guide PDF.

If you try to do the route on pure EV the range will be hammered on any uphill segments.

That's exactly what happens to me. Showed 15 miles this morning for the first time. Dropped to 13 within 400 metres! In fairness by coasting at the right time and accelerating very steadily (2 bar max) I managed 11 miles to work.

15 miles range - I've never had that in 6 weeks of having the car. How long have you had yours for and was it cold where you were this morning?

I will certainly give it a go, but my journey this morning was very flat and driving the car with a very light foot and plenty of coasting.

Perhaps when spring arrives, we'll see closer to the claimed electric range ....

Find it a bit strange when someone says it’s not designed for motorways.
This is one of the best cars I have ever driven on a motorway, and yeah it uses a lot of fuel pushing this kind of weight and comfort along.
The amount of physical power needed to push this car is math no matter if you use electric or petrol.
If you get more mileage out of the battery cruising at low speed and downhill, you still use the same amount of power to push it uphill with petrol.
The car have better specs than a C 300 and those figures you find here.

MERCEDES BENZ C-Class (W205) (2014 - 2016)
Keep in mind this is also “lab figures”

Come on people, preheat your car, turn on you’re a/c, enjoy your comfort seats, push it to sport + when you want some fun.
You drive a machine that gives sets a smile on you no matter what kind of road you drive on.

I'm pretty sure that the temperature has a major effect on the performance of the battery. A few people here have the Outlander which has a 32 mile range. At the moment they reckon they are getting 14 miles tops from them, which drops down further when using air con and driving on motorways. That less than half the advertised range. I tend to get 11 or so from my current 14 mile range. Roll on spring.....

Hi folks

What the point in having a dedicated high speed charger? I mean, I work only 3 miles away from home. If I get home, park it outside my garage and plug in it to a standard 13A socket, I appreciate it'll take longer to charge (although I don't know how much longer), but it'll be done before I get in the car the next morning, won't it? Overall cost of the charge would be the same wouldn't it (longer charge at lower current v shorter charge at higher current = same cost?)?

Just to add on this point, in addition to the ease of use, reduced faffing and house value-add, my weekends are increasingly spent as local-run taxi service for my kids so I figured a 2-hour recharge rate vs 4 hours would often-enough be useful to ensure I can do all these trips on pure electric. Admittedly it is the weekend trips that I'm most likely to play with Sport+ but the thinking is sound.

That was exactly my rationale for installing the Rolec charger.

when i picked mine up from the garage it showed 19 mile range, not had it since though stuck on 15 when charged at home from 13amp and 15 when in charging mode.

anyone had any luck on installing speed cameras on the command/connect system

No, but would be nice to know if it can be done as I think I got done on Saturday night at midnight, M4 Bristol.

ive been told pocketgpsworld but have paid and downloaded to sd card but it wont install into car

When you collected, was it from inside the dealership? Maybe the temp gave you the magic number of 19...

Yes.
Downloaded for whole Europe from pocket gps world.
Extracted everything to a PersonalPOI folder on the SD card.
Inserted the SD card in the car.
The comand online picked it up automatically.

Drove 600 miles today in my C350e mainly because the job was a lot more straightforward so the overnight stay wasn't necessary after all and I decided to drive back.

Over 9 hours and arrived home in fine fettle, not bent over or holding my back, such is the comfort of the seat.

Listened to a couple of podcasts and music on the Burmeister and actually quite enjoyed myself, Sport a few times, Sport + a few times but mostly Eco.

Had the sunroof open for a little while and thoroughly enjoyed what could have been a torturous experience.

Achieved 38.2 MPG which I am slowly coming to terms with!

Just completed 400 miles first 170 got 39.2 with a full charge rest got 38.2 mpg but like you arrived having enjoyed the trip , fantastic mile muncher and still undefeated at the traffic light gp (I know but can not help myself)

Before you take delivery, make sure it has had the software update for external temperature display. Dave's you taking it back....make sure your charge cable is the latest upgraded sealed weatherproof plug and rear socket. Make sure the heater booster problem has been eradicated. Make sure you ask about any reported high voltage short circuit problems and corrective action having been carried out. Mine has been in the garage for 3 weeks and found out today it won't be back till 26th Feb....that's 4 and a half weeks of software updates, problem diagnosis and waiting for parts from Germany. Apparently, new charge cables in stock this week and heater boosters next week....nightmare...if I could cancel I would...

Hi, have you had any news yet? Are the cables in stock or are you still waiting

Had my car on the road for almost 3 months now, and have not yet achieved a 12km total return commute to work on full electric...
It has been at max 23km range when I start preheated in the morning, and start cold driving back home. Today I took the car out for a drive after work, and drove in charge mode to motorway. Put it in e-mode and got 15km out of 17km range, mostly driving 70-100 km/hr. Time spent to use up battery was pretty close to equivalent time spent driving to work and back using up 23km range...
Made me think that range maybe is depending on time more than speed and distance?? Kind of makes sense, don't you think? Makes me wonder what actual driving parameters make up the 30km/19 mile range MB promise??!

Hello folks,

Took the plunge and placed an order for the premium package with my leasing company last week as the 5k grant was going to reduce to 2.5k. Looking forward to it in a few months time.

The panoramic sunroof at the passenger seat. Is that lined or exposed? I have been trying to look for pictures/videos for it and it is difficult to say. I have gone for privacy glass so that will alleviate any concerns.

Dave

Did you happen to be in Manchester yesterday? saw a beautful brilliant blue C350e on the M602 heading toward the ring road....with the sun roof wide open!
