C350e owners club

On top of the issues i'm having, it seems the passenger door wont shut properly either. I did notice it slightly open on the delivery truck, but didnt think much off it.

Yesterday morning we went via chichester MB garage, and wow... what a useless visit that was.

Turned up at lunch-time, really busy place with a special event on. yet no-oone who could do anything.
I need to call back, to arrange an inspection, to then go back again to get it done. Not great when 25 miles away...

They also couldnt connect the connect me function, as their member of staff who does that wasnt in.

Couldnt get a software upgrade (no temp guage etc)...


So a waste of time really. And i now need to get the passenger door bits replaced...


Hmmm - so wanting to love this but bit by bit itrs starting to bug me :? - saving grace, the car is still awesome! :)
 
Ooo i forgot something else that is odd... Is anyone else getting a back seat seatbelt reminder every time they turn on? (No-one in the back seats...).. Not awful, just a pain to click ok every time to clear it.

Also - the haptic pedal? - not noticed it yet, i assume it is just on in the right modes etc. But when in electric i don't feel anything when pushing into petrol?

TBH with a special event on during a Saturday, what did you expect ? They'll be far more interested is sales during the a weekend.

Software upgrade will require booking into the workshop and will take some time I suspect.

I'd call them tomorrow AM and explain what you need/want doing and book a slot for the workshop to look at the car.

Haptic pedal only works in ECO mode to my knowledge. I find it slightly annoying if I'm honest, like a nagging wife telling me to slow down!

Looks great, mine is the same spec due mid april but without the rear privacy glass. I wish I ticked that option now.

hehe wish i'd ticked a few other options too. Wasn't sure what to expect with the colour, but wow... Sunny today and looks immense!!
 
Same colour as mine, but mine has been in the dealership for two weeks, but may have it back by the end of this week!!!
 
Mine is going in this week to replace the door lock mechanism. Pretty poor for a new car! But oh well...

I have asked the service dept to update my software. He doesn't know what I am talking about. Told him about this forum, and that most dealers are saying the same thing!! but that it needs to be done.

He seems like a really good guy and said he will ask technical when he is next speaking to them.
 
In good news. NHS Fleet and automotive Leasing just connected me to 'connect me' remotely and 45 mins after asking. Quite impressed! Although no battery status on there so will check with the MB dealer later.

Gents I'm a recent owner of the c350e estate. Wanted to ask a question regarding full eke electric mode on your cars.

Took delivery 10 days ago, not getting anywhere near the 17 miles claimed. Today on journey only 8 miles only managed 7 miles on electric mode only

Was fully charged over night, had the trip reset.

Is this what others get, or do i need to contacting the local garage.

I've managed about 12 mile max on electric only. As others have posted, temperature effect battery performance and therefore electric range massively.

These colder morning means range is <10 miles for sure.

Hoping range will increase as we get into spring

Mines been at 13 miles from Friday when I got it. Today I did a first full charge and it said 13 again but then a mile later it flipped to 17 miles. Maybe needs a warm up? Although still only managed 11 miles on the charge lol.

The voice control is diabolical! - Please can someone try to get it to goto crawley.... It was insistant that i was saying Corley (Where on earth is corley?!) try training the voice control - just don't do it where anyone can see as it looks like you are talking to yourself !!! It gets you to speak numbers, letters and post codes - mine worked much more accurately afer

And again, settings for things. How do you shut the Nav lady up?...
I'm wondering if common sense would be useful for these, like options to say, only speak in the last x miles of the trip - as most people know how to get out of their own drive, but need directions nearer? If you press the voice control button whilst in the nav screen and say guidance instructions off she shuts up, then say guidance instructions on when you need them - you can also shut her up by selecting the voice symbol in the nav screen

Still yet to find a volume for her, and well, at present i'm using my phone as a sat nave - as well - its quiet and just gets on with it. Just turn the volume down when she is speaking either by the sound volume wheel in the centre console or just the down volume on the wheel


My biggest gripe is still the Display in KMPh....
So i normally love having the MPH screen on the display cluster in front of me, however, the sat nave bit looks good. The only problem is, it displays KMPH below, which is utterly useless... This always annoyed me so I specified the HUD !!!

In case you think I am a being smart - my C350e is my 5th Merc and it has taken me this long to work out how Merc arrange things

I've been told that as part of the PDI check mine is going through currently, the dealer will plug it into the diagnostics machine and this will automatically include applying any software upgrades. Therefore, you would have thought that mine will arrive on Friday complete with viewable outside temperature. Why do I have a feeling I may be disappointed?
 
Mine was PDI'd late Feb and I was told all updates applied ... no external temp display.

Car going back in for minor cosmetic issue and will re raise
