Do these wheels/tyres fit?? Read this first! Offset/fitment answers within..

My brain hurts!!

I am looking for winter wheels/tyres for my 2016 S212 (running standard 18 inch alloys)

Will a set of 7.5j x 16 ET 42 from a W211 fit and be safe to use??

I think the correct offset should be 45.5...will this be a problem? I assume I will need 14mm bolts.

Cheers!

The W211 wheels should fit and the ET will be no problem (W211 ET42, S212 ET46)
The W211 16" wheels will be 7.5" wide and the S212 recommended width is 8"
Both models use M14 bolts.

Thanks. The car is an AMG night edition. Not sure the 16's will fit over the brakes! Bit of a minefield getting this sorted :(

If you have the bigger AMG calipers then probably not.

mmmm looks like they won't fit as I have the AMG sport pack. Will just have to keep my eyes peeled for a pair of 17's...

Would 17" W221 wheels be OK? The ET is 43 so I assume so based on what you have said about...

Me again....for the love of God I can't wait to get this sorted!!

will 17 x 7.5j ET 34 steel wheels be OK?

I've checked the fitment chart and they are not listed, but the 17" option is ET48 so a fair difference...I assume they won't rub body work but what about suspension parts?

Hi Guys, I am purchasing a set of alloys for my car and would like to know if you can help me with the fitment please.
I have a w204 2012 c250 sport blue efficiency.
The alloys that I want are mercedes 8J X 18 and an ET 48, can I fit them.

I have fitted the wheels now, just in case any one else is new to alloy wheels I will tell you the mistake I made.

I thought the alloys that I bought were genuine mercedes as the person I bought them off said they were off a mercedes, he gave me 2 "spacers" and told me they were for the rear wheels, because I thought I didn't need "spacers" I left them at home when I took the wheels to the tyre fitting centre.

I had the wheels fitted, my son went to work in the car and phoned me to say the steering wheel was vibrating, took the car back to the fitting centre to get the wheels re balanced and the manager said the front wheels needed "spacers" as they were non mercedes, so why did his fitter fit them without "spacers"

I went to an alloy place in Birmingham and they said I need spigots which is what the other people were calling "spacers", anyway the 2 "spacers" the guy gave me who sold me the wheels were in fact the spigots, so I put them on the inside of the front wheels and all is good, the 2 wheels the fitter put on the rear of the car already had the spigots in the wheels.

The moral of the story is if you fit aftermarket wheels make sure the inner part of the wheel is the correct size of the stub of the axle that the wheel is going on.

HI, anyone know what these wheels are called and weather they would fit onto vito w447 IMG_5851.JPG

Those alloys appear to be from a W222 S class with ETs (offsets) 38 and 20" diameter.

Vito W447 Et's should be 52 and the biggest recoomended alloy for a Vito is 19" diameter.
So those S class alloys will sit 14mm closer to your wheelarch (Possible fouling?)
There is also the question of whether an S class alloy is typre approved for a Vito (Vehicle weight load?)

Why not take a look at wheels that are actually designed for the Vito from the selection in the link below?

Hi all, I’ve stumbled on this forum but the guide didn’t help me....

Does anyone know what wheels would fit on a Citan?... or should I go to a Renault forum ;)

Thanks for the Op handy for me as I'm trying to gather what cars my wheels would fit.

Hi all,
I've looked at the charts and I think I'm OK but I'd appreciate a thumbs up or down from the collected mindpower...

After a torturous delay caused by a puncture to my W213 (no spare, and the goop didn't work so I had to call Mobilo) I've decided to source a full-size spare wheel. Who needs boot space anyway? :)

My fitted wheels are the standard 225/55R17, 7.5J 5x112 ET40 and the centre bore is 66.6mm.

I've spotted an Audi A6 wheel near me, but will it work? Specs are 225/55R17, 8J 5x112 ET39 and the centre bore is 66.5mm

Obviously it's a half inch wider at the hub, but it's the same rolling circumference and will surely be more solid than a space-saver... Would the 0.1mm centre bore difference make much odds?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!
Eddie
