i had a carsoft on a laptop that worked well with a 1999 e 210 and c 202 class merc. im guessing yours is a w210 not w211?

the carsoft is only 38pin. and laptop

OK, i think ive found the one you speak of. Its a carsoft 7.4 multiplexer, software and the right 38pin lead. Even shows the old printer style connection to the module. I think at <£75 its got to be worth a go.
Im pretty sure i should be buying the older style multiplexer rather than the later xentry style equipment which only claims to support diesel vehicles from 2004 on.

OK, ive managed to get some codes out of the car.
P1664
P1403
P1481
P1470
P1520

Can anybody shed some light on these, they dont seem to be terminal and im trying to find the fault that caused the car to stop and not restart.

When i cleared the errors and rescanned there was only the glow plug error present ?

i also did an injector test but im not sure what the result should be but if it was bad i would assume it would generate a fault code ....

any help with this appreciated
