Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Saw this 1750 Maxi in Yarmouth, IoW at the weekend:

Lovely example of a not-so-lovely car.

And another example of how what you thought of as a "big" car in the 70's is quite small in today's terms.

As a biker I learned that the Jazz was the most dangerous sharer of my roadspace.
Yes, the Jazz has definitely taken over from the old Volvo 200- & 300-series as Biker's Public Enemy #1 !

🤣🤣
Round my way, the Toyota Previa is the vehicle to look out for.

It’ll be full of dents, 6 screaming kids jumping about unbelted in the back with the mum driving, talking on the phone and pretending not to notice you!!

TBH the IOW is loaded with similar, I can guarantee when spotted I’ll be driving.
Lunch at The George 🤔😆

Further to my post above of the Austin Maxi, here's a great article about how the Maxi came about and why it was such a failure:

Daughters boyfriend has recently bought this.

He paid £8000 and because he’s 18 the insurance is £9000 pa! 🤣

It needs some fettling so it’s going to sit in the garage until (according to him) he can afford to run it on the road. Expect to see it in about 2027 then 🤣🤣🤣

That's a bold choice! Lucky 18-year old to have that kind of cash to tie up in an unused car...
