Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Went on an early morning drive - 0600 start 😳 - and had the pleasure of seeing lots of very special cars. Highlights were a Pagani Huayra, Ferrari F40, McLaren 675LT MSO (with full exposed carbon body), 5x Ferrari SF90 (yes five), Aston Martin V12 Vantage.

Along the way were many Porsches, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, and a couple of AMG GT C Roadsters too. It was nice to see Lancia Delta Integrale Evo out and about in the wild, and we even saw two Nobles another rare sight.

You weren't parked outside a plumbers merchant were you ? :D

Bunch of posers and hair dryers, although the red one in the first photo could be the only interesting one there!

PS - I'm biased, having owned "FE" Porsches for best part of 25 years!!:D:D:D

I can’t see any red cars in the first photo.

6th car back looks pretty red to me! I think he means the big ugly, overweight, cumbersome handling, poorly packaged 928!! Just my opinion of course....and yes I have driven a few!! The 911 is a superior car in everyway!

Today I went to Mercedes in Beaconsfield and I spotted a Porsche Carrera GT 😍
Not something you see every day

Just followed a VW transporter down the A2.

They had subtly changed one of the "Rs" for a extra "T"

Puts a bit different swing on things

It's a Superbird....
I'll have the 68 Charger...although the 69 is better!

Good Friday Wheels Day: that’s a blast from the past !

Does the Chelsea Cruise still happen on the last Saturday of the month? Must be almost 50 years now, if it is.

Chelsea cruise! That brings back memories....a few of us used to blast up from the South Coast on our bikes once in a while.....spend an hour or two wheelying the length of Chelsea Bridge to amuse the masses.....until the Police had seen enough.....(they were more tolerant and human back then.....)..then ride back! That must have been about 1990 ish. Good times!

Different times.

Talking of wheelying, it's worth saying that it's still quite a thing in France. Not sure why, but I used to see it most days on my recent visit. I can't remember when I last saw one in the UK

I actually had a French copper say he would let me off a speeding fine (too fast between the toll booths!) if I could pull a decent wheelie!!.....imagine that ever happening here!!!???No....me neither! I didn't pay the fine.....I was on my 96 RS Blade so easy peasy!

Not what you generally expect to see in the Earlston Co-op car park:

A full-fat Superformance 427 built pretty well to original mechanical spec. No side pipes but it made all the right noises.

Not for the faint-hearted and all for a tenth of the price of an original!
From memory, that one has the rover v8 in 3.5l form, the superperformance, like the factory five, is well known for having a "perky butt".
