Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

I would love one of those - i think it's probably a Hawk? Apparently they're quite awful to drive/be in but i would love one! With a Busso V6 motor... Interestingly the Hawk replica apparently has much better panel gaps than the original such was the originals total focus on function above pretty much everything else.
Interesting - it actually comes up as a Lancia, but i can't believe it's original? £500k if it is!

A couple more in my hood today. Neither haves move for donkeys.

The old Merc' shows as having around 250k when it last had an MOT back in 2019.
The tailgate looks very slightly open ? -Perhaps it now serves as an extra bedroom for impromptu guests, or themselves if they get home blathered/late & don't want to face the missus.??

How do they even buy them?
Buying such cars is truly remarkable but I guess that having a good job (or not paying tax) and having no other overheads (living with parents) would make buying a car like this relatively affordable on a finance agreement compared to what the insurance cost must be.

I’m guessing that buying a Lamborghini Gallardo or Porsche 992 might be £1000-£1300 per month with say a 10-15% deposit. It might even be less than that because neither mode will be expected to depreciate heavily. I can’t help but think the insurance would cost more.

More than 25 years ago, when I was 19 years old the insurance on a 6-7 year old Daihatsu Charade GTti - which had a three-cylinder 1.0 litre engine - was £10k per annum, more than double the second hand price at the time. That was after the dramatic price increases in the late 1980s.

I shudder to think what your Cosworths cost to insure in London.

NW London. They’ve probably rented it out already.

Parked up at the museum in the village today. Chatted with their respective owners. Unbelievable coincidence that neither owner knew each other. Both just out for a day and parked next to one another. Great people too.

Now look what you've done - you made me dribble all down my t-shirt! They're both stunning.
