Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

They’re lovely aren’t they. Even my 16 year old daughter likes them.
I thought about getting one about 5 years ago and a good one (V12) was around £7-8K.

They are now between double and triple that.

Wish I'd bought the BMW (yes, I know!) 850i I went to see in Toulouse the same year. That was €8K. The equivalent today is €25-30K.

Obviously I don't waste money on lottery tickets! 🙄

Has your 16 year old dearest daughter driven one, put fuel in a V12 (9 mpg around town) or serviced one?

Just because Honda could. One of the mechanics at TWR Jaguar put one of these engines in a FS-1E.....

But even more silly, we put the big 'aeroplane' V12 engine from the XJS Jaguar in a racing car and won Le Mans a couple of times with it:doh:

Not on the road and not strictly a car, though it does have 4 wheels, i saw this at the weekend!

Its the Anchor Butter mower from the advert in the 1990's. It's apparently a 2CV engine - im assuming the top two cylinders are fake? Taken at the South Downs Heritage Centre (worth a trip if anyone is close)

Yes, the 840s are more affordable, but the 850s command a premium. The low mileage ones don't come up and the rest on sale are a bit leggy.

Still lovely cars and often wish I'd gone for it, but it needed some cosmetics on a front bumper corner - nothing expensive - and ... the deal breaker .... Mrs Swotty wasn't impressed, partly by that.

I reminded here she wasn't impressed when she first met me, but she gave me that "yes, and just look where that got me" look. I considered it prudent to retire to try again another day.

The missis & me found a silver 840/850 cant remember, it was mint with red interior & i loved it. She summed it up by saying 7.5k is not a lot of cash for a space ship!!:) Think we had a c class 180 at the time.

Hi,
This is at the Mad Max themed motorway service station in Dubai - called the Last Exit.
It has food trucks clad in Mad Max type vehicles and there are loads of vehicles on display - fitted with guns and other metal additions!

Not sure what this was! The only badge was '3 litre' (presumably as in Ford Essex V6).

Hi,
Just spent an amazing few days with the founders and owners of W Motors in Dubai - the creators of the Lykan Hypersport that was featured in Fast & Furious 7 (red car in these photos) as well as the new Fenyr Hypersport (the blue car in these photos)!

Spotted my first Porsche Taycan earlier today. Looks smashing and sound great.
If I were in the market for a luxury full electric car this would be it.
