Still trying to fit the inner skeleton by sawing bits off, its taking an age

So instead of forking out £105ish from MB for the correct inner skeleton I decided to use the exisiting one from the 55 bumper and modify it. jeez, what a knightmare. its taken an age and hopefully it will fit when the bumper goes on the car. I also had to nip down local hardware shop to get nuts and bolts as none appeared on the EPC for a 63 model
This side had smashed off during the dog crash:
Anyone help me out finding the part numbers for the part arrowed (and for the otherside). MB Cambridge couldnt help.
Also need the correct plinth for the numberplate. anyone help?

Had a go at fitting my CLK63 AMG front bumper today after 3 days modding the inner frame to fit. sign, I dont half pick the mods that are grief eh?
Of course it doesnt really want to fit, but to make room in my flat its half on the car at the moment as per pictures. What is going on with the small wheel/cog on each side under the wings!?!
To be orignal, I decided to add some Carbon Fibre wrap to the centre section as per the SL63 + C63 Black series (look at the forum logo above).
And remember, I can always remove it back to normal, it looks somewhat American without a front plate eh?
What does everyone think?
Going to work on it over the weekend and get it to fit correctly... if it doesnt snow!

I have often considered wrapping or painting the centre section of the bumper but couldn't decide whether to do it or not.
Seeing yours done certainly gives me an idea of how it looks...

Going to wait until the numberplate is on to see if I like it or not, if I dont off it comes.
Up close its not perfect, had to use more than one piece but you would have to get on your hands and knees to see though

Like the look of the new bumper but the paint colour seems slightly different, seems like a hell of a lot of work to end up with a bumper that doesn't match.

I agree with you, with and see how does it look with the numberplate.
About the difference of color on the picture, that's normal. Brand new varnish VS not that new varnish egal the same color, but a different light reflect, especially on a picture...

Looking good Karl, I really like the CF wrap on the lower section good touch. Shame we need to spoil the look with the front plate huh!?
I think a single slat grill would look the dogs danglies on there now, just to sharpen up the front end even more...
