Yes you will defo be offered the speed awareness course. I went on it and it was great ! Well worth it.

Most unlikely as he already has 3pts, plus they only do them in few areas anyway. Even where they are offered, the cut-off point between the course or a fine varies - I think you were extremely lucky to get the course at 39MPH.

Yes - the court (conviction) or Police (fixed penalty) take your licence off you and send it to DVLA to have the points added.

I was offered a speed awareness course once - would have had to pay to go though - same as the fine IIRC.

However, I fought the initial NIP and won!!
This is several years ago now....(as in 3+ so well out of time for action)
