Yep, I bought two! They were technically advanced enough to be great cars whatever band name was put on them.Arguably the same could be said about Toyota's attempt to develop the Lexus brand over 30 years ago. Toyota pulled it off, and other manufacturers think that they can do the same.
Understood. It will interesting how the marketing people position the cars. Whilst the press reports are good, looking at one or buying them seems remarkably difficult.Genesis cars are built on Hyundai technology. The Genesis EVs share the new Hyundai/Kia Electric Global Modular Platform (E-MGP) with other Hyundai/Kia EVs to include the Hyundai IONIQ 5 & 7 and the Kia EV6.

And I think we can all agree that ICE car range is further reduced in sub zero conditions, but nothing as drastic as EVs suffer. Also, in ICE cars the heater (vital in cold conditions) is simply a by product of the power plant, unlike in EVs where the drive train battery has to supply the heat thus shortening its range even further. I suppose they could drive without the heater on to increase their range somewhat. In fact, this is true also for ICE cars, many owners have complained in the past that the actual mpg in day-to-day driving was nowhere near the official mpg figures published by the manufacturer for Thier model of car.

Or they are 70+ years old so have fruck all to do all day but to read the manual that was supplied with their new car....just sayin'I’m not so sure, plenty of 70+ year olds on the EV clubs, so I don’t think it’s an age thing - more a mindset thing.
How on earth would you know what a 70+ year old does during the day?Or they are 70+ years old so have fruck all to do all day but to read the manual that was supplied with their new car....just sayin'
I might be one .How on earth would you know what a 70+ year old does during the day?
Hasn’t Genesis recently announced their withdrawal as a standalone brand in the UK?
Fascinating talk on lithium battery safety... Sleep well
It’s the 21st century.Hopefully everyone on here with an EV or a LEV will watch this , we might also hope those who manage/own ferries/tunnels/ hotels/shopping centres/underground car parks/blocks of flats/office blocks etc also absorb it.
I think they'd rather put their fingers in their ears and yell "LA LA LA".Hopefully everyone on here with an EV or a LEV will watch this , we might also hope those who manage/own ferries/tunnels/ hotels/shopping centres/underground car parks/blocks of flats/office blocks etc also absorb it.
Regulators can not be trusted when the stakes are this high. It’s the 21st century.
Regulators set these standards for us.

And we are worse off for it . The sheer agony of reading the manual of your poverty spec company car and seeing all of the goodies in the manual that your car could have if you had tried harder at school and became a manager and not just a wage slave .Manual....? Supplied with the car...? That's so last decade, it's s all on the app now
