It was a good few hours from start to finish. Had to prep the area, set out all tools required, fill out risk assessment forms, plan out set break times and the big tidy up when the job was completed.Took me an age to peel off the red plastic .View attachment 146008

I trust you wore the relevant items of PPE? Work gloves, steelies, hard hat, high viz (Class 3), safety goggles and anti static wristband/grounding strap. It was a good few hours from start to finish. If I’d have known what was involved beforehand I’d most certainly have booked it in at main dealer.![]()
Absolutely Mikey. All done by the book. The scaffolding was the biggest challenge.I trust you wore the relevant items of PPE? Work gloves, steelies, hard hat, high viz (Class 3), safety goggles and anti static wristband/grounding strap.
Couldn't be done from a cherry picker then?Absolutely Mikey. All done by the book. The scaffolding was the biggest challenge.
What age is your C Class?
Unfortunately not. Access was tight so cantilevered scaffolding from the roof down.Couldn't be done from a cherry picker then?
I only asked as there seems to be a fair amount of general surface corrosion on it. I never did a 'deep dive' on the underside of mine so I'm not sure if that is typical of a 204 of that vintage; mine was 2013.That one is a 2012 with 16k miles on it.
It's a PITA when you need to do that; but at least you didn't have to resort to abseiling in through the sunroof.Unfortunately not. Access was tight so cantilevered scaffolding from the roof down.![]()
Lack of use maybe ?? ,always wet . Low mileage is sometimes worse than high mileage. That one is a 2012 with 16k miles on it.
