What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Fitted these to add some contrast to the interior. View attachment 146056
I have some new door pins which I’ve been waiting years to fit. I asked the dealer to pop them on when it was last in for a service and they quoted 1.2 hours! 😳

Had one detailed and had new shoes on another. Well isn’t it tradition to have a bath and new shoes ready for back to school?

I’ve ended up driving the car much more than I expected to since fitting and so they’re probably bedded in already.

I can’t get winter tyres in the correct unusual staggered sizes so I’ve switched to Continental All Season Tyres.

They feel slightly more compliant which was was expected, not least because the old ones were five years old.

There was close to 3mm tread left but one was wearing on the inside, and at five years old they’re probably stiffening due to UV.

Being brand new, a softer compound, with deep and more flexible tread blocks means it’s perhaps as compliant as it ever will be.

I wanted the all seasons ready for when the weather changes and I can feel Autumn coming in the fresh evening air.

It’s only 0930, and I’ve already driven 90 minutes to drop one off for detailing with hood deep clean and seal, to help water bead and run off the fabric.

New Front Discs, Pads, Air Filter, Pollen Filter, Fuel Filter, Oil change on the W204 ready for the big job of brake pipe replacing for its MOT next.

Took one to view another one for sale. Undecided on whether to buy or not. We’ll see.

Did you know that Sherlock Holmes’s favourite number was #6876 because he felt that there was hidden meaning behind those digits in that order.

Something that Sherlock Holmes might do is look for invisible ink. Copying and pasting text is a good way for checking for invisible digital ink.
