Dealer price for changing sparks on E240 is a shade over £200
(and that's with 10% off parts and 40% off labour)
I think there are 2 sparks per cylinder so = 12 spark, but even so...
I pulled into the Shell station in Reading today and filled up as usual, 55 litres into the C250's tank, according to the pump. So what's the problem, you may ask?
The tank was 1/4 full when I got there
(backed up by 300 miles on the trip meter, which I zero on every fill).
So...
Just driving round town today and realised the car wasnt kicking down - in fact it wasnt changing gear at all. Parked up and reverse wouldnt select either. Turned the ignition off and restarted and it seemed fine again. Then drove home and the car doesnt seem to want to get out of 2nd gear (I...
On Thursday morning I found the rear near side tyre completely FLAT.
As I was just about to go out with my wife and her car fortunately was parked behind mine in the drive, we left mine and went in her car. I drove her PINK Honda Jazz.  Hide my shame.:D :D

Be careful how you tighten front wheel nuts on your W210 !
Tried to replace front tyres on E300TD last week.
Tyres fitter (Costco) called to say could only release 2 of 10 wheel nuts.
I arrived and with the largest bloke in the fitting bay could not shift the other 8.
( Drove home, scaffold...

I thought the new Nokia 8800 looks tasty. Metal case and glass rather than plastic screen. Quick search on eBay brought this item up, complete with heart stopping price!
Only accepts payment by Western Union money transfer to Italy. Smells fishy.
Last weekend the wife and I drive to mid-Wales for a weekend away without the kids. Very nice trip but whilst driving along a country lane, a pack of motorcycles came at me over the hill. Not being the smartest of riders, they were riding 2 abreast on a narrow lane. I had 2 choices, the edge of...

£15 each - bit steep....
Garage also told me that are a little awkward to get out sometimes as well and to change 5 we're looking at an hours labour.
Since I've got one dodgy plug, I was wondering if its worth changing just 1 or all 5 at the same time. Be a bit of a bummer if another went...

Hi folks.
Moving out of family home today, lots on my mind when I close the boot of my car and walk inside.
Remembered something I needed from the car when the awful realisation sank in ...id locked my ONLY set of keys in the car boot.
Mad panic...lots of <Disgusting> expletives at the top...
Just got the C320 back from an A service from the local main dealer. The car is now coming up to 4 years old so I was expecting a few extras but it was rather more expensive than I was bargaining for, coming to a grand total of £877:eek:
Here's the list :-
A service (I supplied 8 litres...

This mercedes ownership thing is turning out to be rather costly. I put the merc in today to get new rear brake pads to get a phone call from the garage to say that the offside rear caliper pins had broken off and the near side was hanging by a thread. So the car needed new calipers...
A word of warning, hopefully to prevent anyone else having the same problem.
Fully drained the battery on my iPaQ today, which runs my Navman GPS
No problem me thinks - just reload the software :D
All was well until a few minutes into the install, and perhaps the first time the disc...
After deciding not to get the 190E for the wife, I got her a Ford Fiesta 1.3LX, 1996 (New shape) <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> from E-Bay.
I decided to get it serviced at my local Ford Main Dealer so...
