AMG Engine Builder mystery

Sorry about that leewda...I've tried to be helpful since. If you Google Florian Brader, there are many entries (most about a fireman). Many on MBWorld...but no one over there seems to know him.

Apology accepted no hard feelings, back off the ignore list. Thanks for having a poke about for me! :thumb:

This whole situation is a storm in a tea cup why shouldn't you be able to post a question serious or not as long as it relative to you and you want a answer.

To shoot some one down because you may not like the question is stupidity and no way to welcome new members.

To be honest If I had a c63 I could not care less who built it, but it's relevant to the op.

We are all equal here wether you drive a 1999 fiat punto, slr have one post or twenty thousand.

You obviously didn't read your second PM then ?

oh I see now. Sorry i'm new. Dont agree I deserved that given the context. I was always taught that if someone hits you - hit them back (and harder). Likewise if someone is rude to me then they get told off in my world. If in the street, in the pub, or on a forum. And if it's a friend, a colleague, a copper or an administrator. Sorry, but that's how I roll, and at 41yrs old im unlikely to change.:dk:

I got my first 'infraction' for 'trolling' - lost on both counts?!!

Ha ha. LOL. You're supposed to be the one that's been offended. :D

I guess it's one of the regular " **** stirring ear benders" that had a little word on your behalf, then. ;)

And yet again you go off. Who are you to decide whether there is value in a post or not?

I'm not - that is my point.

Because you dont agree with it. The situation is alot worse on other forums, new members get shot down within the first few posts using much coarser language than we do here. Nobody is saying they shouldnt post, but surely there are greater things to worry about than who hand built my engine which wasnt really hand built at all.....?

So your questioning me on why I should decide whether there is value in a post or not, which I am not, and then you go on and decide there is no value in this thread.

The other issue is, that as I have said previously, some topics wont get a definitive answer.

So those posts are sitting ducks for trolling then...

Should I put up a thread about how to track where each of the body panels on my car were made? Maybe who fitted the valve stems in my car, or how much carbon the steel contains on my bonnet too then as they wouldnt be deemed valueless posts then in your eyes?

If you wanted to knows those things - that is up to you.

You wont get any criticism from me (which you wont find in any other posts) because, after all, this is a car forum.

If anything, I received trolling in one of my early posts - and I thought this forum might be a crock because of it. Then I discovered it is just a few idiots who troll and have no value on the forum.

The fact this forum isn't like other forums (minus the trolls) is a credit to the rest of the members who make it so.

...and I think the same way whether I have an AMG or not - I am the same person I was before I bought one.

Did you have BMW and Audi before AMG?

IMHO....if someone has a question or concern then they should (without fear or fear of embarrassment) be able to ask the question via a medium such as this. I do not think it fair for people to tell them that their question or concern has no value or is not at least worth some research. We are here surely to support and help each other the best we can. If you have nothing constructive or helpful to say on the matter perhaps ''another thread'' may be more to your liking? To quote an old phrase from MTV ''If you're not part of the solution....you're part of the problem''

I love this thread and the link. Its an awesome piece of work

florianbrader

I can sleep easy knowing I have a scummy diesel and not a dogging mobile. Great....

Next stop, outside Bruce Millars house. Its a bit of a hike but my super dooper economical diesel means its a cheaper drive to watch dogging, than it is to click the local slags links and sent a tart round and get her to go doggy style...

I'm hoping he's the bloke not the nag.....
(could a horse sign a name plate? Imagine it'd be tricky holding a pen with a hoof?)

Ps the C63 in the picture looks different to mine? Foreign market variant? I quite like it.
