Do these wheels/tyres fit?? Read this first! Offset/fitment answers within..

Hi Chris
Could you advise about fitting winter tyres? I've been thinking about a set for my W210. It has 17" wheels on at the moment, could I fit a set of 15" steelys with appropriate sized tyres on to keep the costs down?

cheers
Rob

Don't think 15's will fit over the brake calipers ?

The car had 15" wheels when it was new according to the spec sheet, I think the 17's were a later addition. There seems to be a lot of fresh air between the discs and the inside of the wheel rims.

Fair enough , i didn't think that any w210's came with 15inch wheels.

:dk: I'm no expert I'm afraid, just going on the build sheet. The tyre and wheel sizes are given as 205/65R15 94V, 7J X 15H2/ET37 It is a 220 CDI though, it may have the brakes to match the performance?

Alloys for a S203

Chris
Will 18in W211 E55 wheels (8x18 et30 front and 9x18 et39 rear) go straight on my S203 as a replacement for the standard 17in five-spokes? I've checked the chart (18x8 31 225/40R18 18x9 35 255/35R18 AMG) and the offsets here are slightly different - not sure if it'll make much difference.
Thanks

Hi!
Should be fine with the tyre sizes noted, you'll need M12x1.5x24R14 bolts/locks.

I'm getting conflicting info on wheels that will fit to a 1985 mercedes sd300.
The wheels in question are Ronal r9 with an et35.
First source said no problem, been running the same combination for years.
Now another source says they should have a 5 or 10 mm spacer, possibly just for the front wheel.
Any confirmation?
Appreciate the help.
btw these are 15x7 wheels

changing tyres on 18" AMG turbines

I have an E Class Estate (S211) with 18" turbines from the SL55, I think they are 8.5" front and 9.5" rear, currently has 255/40 on front and 285/35 on rear - does anyone know if the tyres can be changed slightly and what to?

I was thinking either 265/35 or 275/35 for rear and 245/40 on the front, I believe these combinations are fine?

Segins on W210

Hi

I own a W210 E240 year 1998 and i am considering to buy a set of "segin" wheels possibly from a W220 (part number 220 401 12 02). These are 7,5X17 Et46. i have too tire options in my mind to use with these wheels

1-215/50 R17
2-235/45 R17

İ really like the look of segins but i have hesitations...
Will i have any rubbing issues or any other issues with brakes especially with 235 tires?

As i know max offset is Et41 for W210 on 7,5X16 OEM wheel. So Et46 makes me think a little

Anyone with experience on this one?

thanks in advance

The link provided is somewhat ambiguous to the R170

The chart shows totally incorrect offsets for this vehicle which should be 38 front and 30 rear

38 is not mentioned once in the chart

A local chap has a set of "7 x 16" Genuine SLK alloys, ET 34, fitment 5x112, with 205/55 x 16 tyres"

I've checked the Alloy Wheels Direct website and the 16 x 7 wheel size for a '92 W124 estate has an offset of 46.

Offsets mean nothing to me so I've not idea if the differing offsets mean they just won't fit or I need a spacer of some sort or something completely different. Can anyone explain in simple terms what I would need do so to get these on a W124 that has 15" steel wheels at present?

You'll have enough of a challenge with 19x8.5ET30 and 2253519 tyres. Don't think for a minute that it's a bolt-on modification.
