Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Not necessarily - modern Porsches seem to be so wide it might be straddling the line on the far side!
The 911 was indeed on the line (out of shot). If the AMG had parked fully in the space beside it - even uncomfortably close - then it would also have its tyres on the line.

I’ve just checked the dimensions to make sure that that really would be the case.

Excluding mirrors the AMG GT C is 2007 mm wide, and the 992 Turbo is 1900 mm wide, increasing to 2075 mm and 2024 mm respectively with the mirrors.

The average UK parking space is 2400 mm wide, meaning there’s about a pen’s length of space to open the door into, so not surprising that they parked the way they did!

Renault I think? a 14 or 16 possibly. 🤔

Yep, agreed, forgot about them, rapid car for the day, and the coupe version, the Fuego turbo.
When I was much younger we lived in Hendon and there was a very cool couple in their late twenties living a few houses down.

They were very good looking and fashionable, he looked liked a pilot and she like a model. They had a Fuego Turbo. 🤘

A work buddy had Renault turbo as a company car, dreadful gear change push the lever and hope it's in the next gear.
Went like stink with usual turbo lag.

Daughter sent me this but what is it?

I have an idea.

It’s a 21 Turbo. Drove one in period, very quick given my daily at the time was an Esprit Turbo. Would have been amongst the fastest point to point fwd cars around this side of an Elan M100 and Integra R.
shows differences in fortunes, I preferred it to the Sapphire Cosworth, cost £17k against the latter’s £21k at the time - but look where prices are now 🙀

I followed a Hamann , sounded pretty cool

Ex-GPO I would guess (given the age of it - one of the last of the line I think), in which case it would have very low gearing. The one I had many years ago was surprisingly sprightly at low speeds but quickly ran out of puff much above 40!
