I've just watched the video on facebook, it's a home made conversion. The folding roof looks as if it's been taken off an "E" class convertible - hence the seats. I have to admit at first glance I did think it was a Bentley . The quality of the finish , panel gaps etc , was absolutely spot on, you'd never say it was a conversion. The small giveaway was a , hardly noticeable , joint in the chrome trim in the where the rear door joint was originally. Built in 2020 apparently , so no wonder it looked so good.

The guy is an retired chippy or a builder or similar. He’s also built a car using the front end of 2 Rovers.

My goodness, that’s a cracking looking car, and to think it’s a home-brew Frankenstein’s monster too.

i was done for black and white plates in Oct 86, it was either the first or second day that the police could issue fines. I kind of had a premonition it would happen - guess a Pearl white Esprit stood out too much I’ve been good ever since
