Thanks Richie we had a cracking day with excellent weather followed by 1200miles round the west coast of Scotland in the 63

Have a great time ... I know the place well and have stayed there several times ..., got snowed in there one year.
At a much younger age, I set myself a target of having a pint from each successive pump along the bar ... at one point, there were 10 iirc - mostly Theakstons and Black Sheep.
I never managed beyond the sixth.

Called in at The Lion Inn and finally had a “Chicken Parmo” which was a considerable size The Steak and Ale pie is a cracker too

Checked out the parking at Castle Howard, beware there are some decent sized potholes to be avoided unless you’re in the thing parked next to me

The roads were “damp/wet” in places but the sun was out all day , never saw any rain so pan roof open most of the 150 mile drive listing to “Pavarotti” AKA the M156
close up the car is a bit grubby but I’m hoping to make the best of the weather this week and get out again so a clean can wait

You’re correct, still about 10 pumps and mainly Theakstons these days but with several others
