Split screen, so that's an early one with the side valve engine.
When I was little, my dad brought a split screen convertible for my mum to ferry us kids around in. Happy days, except that it was unreliable, had a starting handle, & I was the oldest child..

I'm not a fan, but a good friend of mine had a whole flock of them a few years ago.
He has a minor affliction......but is recovering now with just a single Minor 1000 Traveler

Looks like someone in their late 40s reliving their late teens on a grand scale! Everything apart from the Alhambra will be appreciating despite being in less than pristine condition. They’re living the dream.

Nice! My old boss has one just like it. He’s had it from new and just restored it, adding coil overs and new wheels etc. He then got his inheritance and bought a new 911 Turbo S so the MR2 doesn’t get used much now!

I prefer 993’s but his new one is nice, it’s Meissen blue which I think is pretty rare.

You need very very deep pockets and a bucket full of skill to be quicker than a 992 Turbo S on the road.

I remember going water skiing on the Sunday when Diana’s death was released. We took one of the roof panels out and poked my ski through.

I thought we looked cool but looking back on it we probably looked like a pair of nob-heads.
