Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

A lot safer than his first choice....bikes like his dad!......my arm X-rays hopefully have put him off that!!

Motorbikes? Sure, lots of things are safer than motorbikes... but a Mini is not as safe as... say... a 2010 VW Polo (or whatever)

I think I had two incidents in the Mini, thankfully nothing too serious. One was a rear shunt which nearly wrote it off... the work done on it to repair the crumbled boot was never really first class.

I really do think that I could kick the door hard enough and make contact with the passenger, though.

No crumple zones (you'll lose your legs on a frontal impact), no airbags, no abs, no traction control, useless headrests... it's a deathtrap...!

And if you think Classic Mini’s are unsafe (they are) how about your accelerator foot actually pressing on the front panel.

LOL.....how did we all survive the 70s eh? With your argument no classic cars should ever be driven. I would not stop him having one because of that though.....just as likely to get injured many other ways.

Forget the VW .. how do get you out of an Isetta after a frontal crash? Answer: you don't, because there's no need, no one survives it anyway.....

I’ve traveled the country in that VW, and actually used it as a daily for a time. I spent plenty on new parts for it, but the thought of traveling to Newquay or Brighton in it for example now leaves me wondering wtf I was doing.

Nice bus and great reg plate too.

I saw this bad boy yesterday. It was a Ford Zephyr with a 5.0 V8 out of a Mustang. I actually heard it coming from a few hundred yards away.

Zephyr/Zodiac?

Ignore cos I missed your initial photo.

LOL. It stumped me. I knew it was a Ford. My brain initially suggested Corsair (I was looking at the rear) but I knew that wasn't right. I had to ask the owner in the end.

I loved it.

It’s definitely not a Corsair. They’re made out of a load of old pubic’s! 🤣

The Rocker Billy’s round my way loved them in the late 70’s early 80’s.
