Not strictly true.
IIRC Ricardo was commissioned by both Saab and Triumph to develop engines for the forthcoming 99 and Dolomite. Thus, the core dimensions were shared but otherwise they were different engines.

My dad used to have one of those, or, more specifically, the slightly posher Singer Vogue version. It was an estate, and we often seemed to be filling the back and the 'extra back' as we called it with loads of kids. To say that would be frowned upon today would be an understatement! Ah, different times...

Not on the road either but I thought this was an unusual sight. Three McLaren F1: the most famous prototype road car, the prototype LM and a GTR. Behind me and out of shot is the Le Mans winning car.

Sounds right. Just about double figures overall - call it 11mpg.

That's partly why you seldom see them with high mileages.

The quote from Bentley's MD is that the average Bentley owner has eight cars at his disposal.

And pencil in £4k a year to maintain it yourself, with occasional help from the specialists. Call it a couple of quid a mile.

Ive been a passenger in K8MCL, 190mph at Bruntingthorpe driven by Dr Palmer himself - probably as well it wasn’t me driving him round. the car was impressive, but to be fair his smoothness even more so

That build quality is phenomenal. Not original but forgivable, all the same. Wonder who did it?
