Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Volluto or Vienna linizio Lungo?
You choose, then you’ll then know that it really is me.

Alternatively look for someone who looks a bit like a fatter, older, George Michael when he was going through his “bad cop” phase.

Then shouldn't you be meeting in the toilets on Hampstead heath rather than kings cross station?? 😇

We used to have an outfit on the way to Rye Harbour who did lots of exotic stuff. They looked after a number of high end rally cars for high end drivers, and also ran 2 Nissan (Nismo) GTR's in top class racing, even had a dabble into Le Mans 24 - and Porsch Club Kent Region (I was a member at the time) organised a visit round their place, it was phenomenal. Their 2 Nismo GTR's were in bits on the upper floor at the time, amazing seeing GT1 cars in their constituent parts laid out for sorting!! They had an engine test room complete with computer hook-up, exhaust ducting etc, another room with a rolling road test thingy, another room where they could CAD a new piece then send the design to their CAD controlled machines to manufacture that part - they were doing a turbo job on a Lambo at the time, it had been sent to USA for turbo job and USA had made a mess of it! Unfortunately Rye was an offshoot of their main base in the Midlands and is no longer there - shame, I had my 968 side sills sorted there as they were used to working with GRP and carbon fibre bodywork!

Sumo Power?

I saw this R500 today looking a bit neglected

Sumo Power?
Unfortunately I cannot remember the name - advancing age and failing memory, plus I not longer have the history file from my 968 cab to refer to! Think it may have been JRM Motorsport. Fantastically impressive place, shame they closed it and moved everything back to their midlands base.

That’s the one. Sumo Power were in Rye and JRM were in Daventry, and they merged.

Stunning, but no this particular one was white.
A few years ago I very, very nearly bought a white 10valve 2.1Quattro. Long story short, it was owned by a bloke who's car repair business was going down the pan and he was desperate for cash. I agonised for days over it and got through several sets of batteries in the Man Maths calculator before deciding against it. It was a bit rough round the edges but mechanically spot on. And that noise.....😚

28.35 " longer than a mini metro
