One evening earlier this week I passed a red UK-spec Mk IV Toyota Supra in beautiful original condition being driven on a wet dual carriageway.

As I passed I looked at the gentleman driver and imagined that he’d bought the car brand new, and had driven it almost every day for 30 years.

He looked like a semi-retired consultant doctor who has been using this car to travel to and from the private hospital ever since he bought it.

I would love to think that it’s racked up some serious miles but has been lavished with care and no expense spared approach to maintenance.

Wonderful to see such a rare car being used - especially in such miserable conditions - and possibly in the hands of the first owner.
