Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

I was at the Alfa garage I take mine to in Dorset today and got chatting to a chap who was booking one of his in for an MoT. Though not an Alfa, but a rather special Delta Integrale. I’ll not go through the details but see the link below from collecting cars where he bought it from. As far as desirability and provenance, about as good as it gets and seems a remarkable bargain!

Not only that though, he has two others! An immaculate red and tan leather Evo 2 (the most desirable of Evos) plus a Group N Esso car! His garage was to die for - all black and white floor tiles, not a spec of dust anywhere….a really nice chap as well. And he uses them all, chapeau!

Miki’s Delta

Popped up on mine as well! Minis with small but fat wheels just look so right!

Clever siting of the fuel tank, that must be tricky!
My dad had a Cooper S as a company car back when, my brother had one of the 90’s Rover Minis and my sister had a Mini City.

I never had one but I wish I did.

It does seem rather cheap.

My matey has a beauty of an Evo 2. Totally rebuilt so not original but an absolute stunner so if anyone is in the Guildford ghetto and you see an Integrale with EVO on the plate it’ll be him.

Likewise - my Dad had a Radford Cooper S in period, and his friend had an ex works car including the Paddy Hopkirk Tulip Rally winner I think it was. He also had some works blocks still in the wax paper! My SIL on Guernsey has one of the last Coopers - not a final 500 but pretty close. Unfortunately the run out ones rot the worst of all! They’ve had to spend a fortune on it due to rust, would have been cheaper to buy a heritage shell at 10k!

I did not think they were legal in the UK....?

From the Google...

No, Tesla Cybertrucks are not legal in the UK:

  • Design
The Cybertruck's sharp angles and blunt front end don't meet European crash regulations.

  • Weight
The Cybertruck is heavier than the light-duty truck it is in the US, so it would require a Category C1 driving license in the UK.

  • Registration
Campaigners say there is no lawful way to register a Cybertruck in the EU because it "seriously conflicts" with basic European road safety norms.
Britain's first Tesla Cybertruck with 500-mile range for sale ...

Tesla removed the option to pre-order a Cybertruck in the UK and Europe over a year ago. However, some Tesla fans may import one, but it would be difficult to make it road legal.

That thing has not so much been touched with the ugly stick, but BATTERED with it!
