Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Seen in Berwick on Tweed, wonder which was more fun to drive? View attachment 102015

Unless I'm getting confused - and I'm 95% sure that I'm not - the 1 FBP reg used to belong to a customer of mine.
His name was Frederick Ben Porges and he owned a company called Flexibox.

I think he left the number plate to a (domestic) employee. It's possible they may have sold it on.

The driver looked to be in his late thirties, not sure if that helps?

Yesterday I followed a brown Renault 5 Turbo 2 (or maybe a Maxi Turbo) through the Cotswolds. Wonderful little thing but I couldn’t get directly behind it to take a decent photo.

I also saw an Audi Sport Quattro - the super rare short wheelbase version - parked a few miles away. It was in beautiful condition - great to see it being used.

To see two Group B homologation specials on the same day is incredible, or perhaps just a reflection of the Cotswolds being at least twice as busy as the busiest I’ve ever seen it!

Not so much interesting, but really ugly....
The grille of the Bentley Flying Spur that I came face to face with yesterday.........

I used to drive one , but I wasn't as good as James Hunt!
I saw something very, very, very similar in Worcester on Sunday - I could have sworn it was the very same van but who knows.

My second car was a 1955 Austin A30 4-door, it was with the original owner until I bought it - one owner from new, 37,000 miles in 37 years, and the tools in the boot were wrapped up in newspapers dated on the day he collected it from the dealer. Incredible. An unusual purchase for a 17 year old. It was too nice to drive and so it barely covered any miles in the few years I had it - I sold it to my uncle to park outside his antique shop.

Not a car as such, but....:

Used for window cleaning, apparently.
I’ve got a ticket to use one of them. Great fun.
