Seriously the car I’ve just bought is such a find and rare. I’ve had it a week and driven 500 mile already with the top down. Needs a little tlc but its original with no rust 35k miles 94 SL320 makes guys of a certain age smile, black dudes love the rapper heritage

I thought the exact same but upon closer inspection the car is a LHD so that might explain something.

Yes, I did notice it was lhd. And you are also correct to say it's a 126 not 116!

Hi,
We live on a desert island now - since September.
The island in question is Yas Island - home to Yas F1 circuit, Ferrari World, Warner Brothers etc.
Only yesterday - our local newspapers announced that Yas will be the location of a trial of driverless taxis.
Fast forward to this morning and as I was leaving our local Ace hardware store - one of these driverless taxis was sitting at the red light in the lane next to me.
It had two testers in the front of the car - a passenger and a ‘safety officer’ in the drivers seat. I spoke to them briefly whilst waiting for the lights to change and they assured me that the car was fully autonomous and that we would be able to experience it soon!
The car in question was a fairly rare (in this country) Lincoln MK7 saloon.
It was highly festooned with cameras & sensors including one right on the front of the bonnet!
