What MPG are people getting?

Before mine started playing up E280, it used to give me 42mpg on cruise at 60mph.

Useful i dont know , its a 2006 model

E250 W212

Average Consumption= 51.9MPG
Over 17,139 miles
Speed Average = 34.8MPH

61.3Mpg On W203 2005 220 CDI drove 473 Miles Scotland to London

Double, at least, then I used to get with my Toyota Avensis auto. £130 tax whilst other car was £290 !!! Love my Mercedes.

E250 Cabriolet is getting 43mpg average over all driving in the last couple of thousand miles.

Can get as high as 60 mpg if you sit at 55-60 mph on a long run, but typically 50-55mpg at 70.

W204 C220 CDI manual 2009- 47 mpg average over the last 11k miles.

I drive in town a lot - I have seen 55 MPG from it on long journey if driving like a nun carrying kittens.

I have a couple of long journeys planned, first this weekend. I shall get back with the results. May have to drive like a nun, though holding kittens will have to go.

I don't usually pay much attention to the whole mpg thing, simply because I don't drive that much (5,000 a year, if that), but after the recent major service, with ATF, spark plugs and air filter replaced (among other stuff), plus with the just fitted new, wider (225 v 215) Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tyres, I got this yesterday:

Got to be a personal record, I'm sure. Most of this trip was on A43 coming down from Kettering to Northampton, but the first few minutes were through a very busy town centre, at about 5:20pm onwards.

Garmin ecoRoute HD reads the OBD data directly (I hard-wired the unit inside the console under the steering wheel).

2011 C250 CDI with 5k miles 34-35 mpg driven like a saint as i only live 3 miles from work and it is 30mph roads with traffic so the car doesn't really warm up. On a run to Birmingham and back (from Bradford) i got 55mpg.

One of the reasons i am selling it, to buy a petrol

Well the Viano always turns in 33mpg never varies by anything more than 1 or 2. The 450SE however does about 12mpg which is to say that it doesn't go very far.

36 mpg as only a 7 mile commute so just about warms up. 42mpg on a long motorway run at 80 mph

My E 320CDi 211 seems to be stuck between 26-30mpg, almost irrespective of what driving I do. On a longer run, it might nudge up to 33mpg.

Do people find better figures with or without cruise control on a motorway run?

- great question- I don't do enough miles to know- I assume the unit on my W124 isn't going to be nearly as efficient as newer units
