What MPG are people getting?

Checked it after the dyno day at MSL on Sunday.

Big mistake: 6.2mpg. All fun though and made it up a bit on the trip home. :)

15 MPG in town, late 20s at a steady 70.

I get similar in my CL500, around 15-19MPG in town and around 25-27MPG going steady on the motorway. I only drive 5-6k a year so fuel economy isn't on the priority list :D

I usually get 50mpg from the daily commute. I have had 55.7 mpg on a Norfolk to Wales run before. Cruise control was set to 75mph whenever possible.

I've got my W212 facelift E220d for a couple of days driving local doing school runs etc, averaging 28mpg according to the trip computer. AMG territory lol but not AMG performance. Hopefully it will go up in bit once I can find a straight road over the weekend.

Having build quality like a tank doesn't help but I feel really safe driving in this.

Just done 3075 miles in our 2012 220cdi coupe. Driving Calais to Barcelona through the Mountains via Andorra, northern Spain & home.
Trip computer says 51.5 overall I did the maths more like 54.6, I didn't hang around neither. Very happy with that, now back in the UK back down to 47.

Did a similar long distance jaunt down through Germany to Austria, 2012 C220cdi Estate, generally running around the legal limit or at the advisory limit of 130kph in Germany. Got above 50mpg in Europe, dropped to 49.6 by the time we got home to Brum based on the trip computer, 1875 miles, 53mph average (hammered by Bruges and Operation L'Escargot - I kid you not - at Calais).

By the way, Mercedes Benz Museum was well worth the visit, a complete history of the evolution of the motor vehicle and a social history alongside it. My disinterested partner who came along to be tolerant actually enjoyed the visit.

Since my last update on this subject, I left the trip running since April, done c. 4000 miles mainly B roads, Computer says 50.5 mpg.

Just did a run to Scotland and back just over 1200 @ 42MPG @ 65MPH. Not bad for my old lady 2007 W221 S320 CDi

C220 AMG sport plus
I average around 67mpg on all driving
Motorways I frequently see high 70/low 80 mpg

You must have been coasting down a hill !

I once reset the display on the top of the M62 which is the highest motorway in the UK. With the car still in gear it will coast throttle off at 65-70 MPH for miles all the way down to Rochdale. I got mine to display 78 MPG which is not bad for a petrol.

Here is what I got from a W213 new 2.0 diesel 9 speed....

Not for 49 miles I wasn't - that is the trip screen, not the instant readout and it had not been reset since the start.

I frequently get 80mpg plus on my 77 mile commute both to and from work.

My mate has an E250cdi estate and that is exactly what his OBC is showing after 40k miles. He was hoping for more.
