Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Oh well, if you like three wheelers I did see this parked up, outside a shed, last week in Malvern
Having previously ^^ exposed my disdain for trikes,,,,,,

When I was a teenager, there was a bloke who lived in our village who had (amongst an eclectic mix of ICE vehicles) a 1930's Morgan 3wheeler with a V twin engine in front of the front wheels. It looked like a WW1 fighter plane that had landed too hard grinding the bottom half off retaining the landing gear as front wheels.

I would have loved to have driven that, but aside from the number of wheels there is little similarity imho.

One of these, spotted on the school run today.....nothing unusual about that and in fact its about as boring as cars get. But this one had a "T" stuck in front of the name.....and was driven by a Sikh gentleman....GENIUS!

Myself I'd swop the C for a B

Ooooh have you bought one?
Lawksamercy, can't stand the ride quality on the four wheelers, let alone the three.

Drove one around the dirt roads of Tuscany and the grip was .... tenuous.

Interesting that their engines and gearboxes are now BMW 2 litre petrol so they better than they used to be.

Just a factory visit. Love car factories.

Great to see a traditional 200 person "family' business employing people pretty much for life.

Different to Affalterbach and Sindelfingen.

Saw this very nice Sunbeam Alpine in Brighton yesterday, just a shame the fabric roof let it down.

Kind regards Matt :thumb:
Lovely (although let down a bit by the hood, as you say). I've always thought these much better looking than the contemporary MGB. I think they also did a V8 version, called the Tiger iirc.

They did do a V8 Tiger. I have had the pleasure of driving one years ago and it was nice in it's day. Never driven the common or garden one so I can't make a comparison. :)

I had two back in the day. They struggled to keep up with a friend's Beetle. Very pretty and underpowered.

Let’s not forget that this was the car of choice of James Bond in Doctor No

From memory, borrowed from a Brit who lived in the area.

Its a CAN-AM Spyder RT. They are 1330CC....so it should nip along OK. Three wheeled bikes???? WHY???. All the inconvenience of a bike (cold, wet, gear to wear and stash on hot days) combined with all the bad points of a car (gets stuck in traffic jams, need to find a parking space, cant nip down between the lines of traffic). Never understood the desire or market for one.
Half a century before Can-Am made trikes, they were making possibly sillier things like competition bikes for Flat Tack and ice racing (!)

This is my son winning a vintage class flat track event in the summer. We believe his 250 2-stroke Can Am is the only one in the country.
Note the thumb brake beneath the left grip. Apparently, it's kinda tricky to use a footbrake with a steel shoe on....
Oh! and there is no front brake at all.....

What did you have, two Tigers or two common or garden ?

Just common or garden ones. The first was a 1600cc and the second one the more powerful 1725cc which took it towards MGB territory.

A chap in the car club has a Tiger. Lovely car and sounds the business. It's a Mk 1, so the lower-powered of the two models. Very quick back in the day.

I chose my first Alpine over a Jag XK150 convertible .... well, I was 19 and wanted a car to pull the birds, not to go down the pub in.

Wish I knew then, as the saying goes! 😢

Before 1969 Flat Track racers (like Speedway but bigger track and faster bikes and American for those that don't know) brakes front OR rear where against the rules....LOL!

Every time my son goes on holiday, I get a selection of car pics sent to me:
