Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Saw a Rossi Corsa Ferrari 575 parked outside a toy shop, having the boot filled with presents. Either Santa or parents with the kids at Nan & Grandads! 😁

Not on the road either but I thought this was an unusual sight. Three McLaren F1: the most famous prototype road car, the prototype LM and a GTR. Behind me and out of shot is the Le Mans winning car.

The Gulf car is one of mine from the '90s. We ran three of them that season, winning the GT class and finishing 2nd overall at Le Mans. It was just one lap down on the winning prototype car, as close as a GT has ever got.

Seen here are 'big' John Nielson (LM winner in 1990 in a Jaguar) and Dr Thomas Becher. He owned a road and a race version on the cars and went on the chairman of Bugatti.....he did like a nice quick car!

Whilst I was there I did wonder whether you had a hand in it. You really do need to get that book published…

Visited the Classic Motor Hub near Bibury on Saturday for a private event and as well as a private tour of some of the owner's exotica (no photos of those cars as we were asked not to publish them for security reasons), here are a few examples from the sales showrooms.

1909 Benz 25/45 Six-Seat Sports Tourer (yours for the bargain price of £290k):

A very pretty Bristol 400 from 1947 that had been used as a factory development mule and road-test car (£79.5k):

And finally an absolutely stunning 1965 Aston DB5 that's covered just 1,200 miles since a complete restoration with a price tag of £935k:

For anyone interested, more details on all the above are on the Hub's website.

A 1.4 old shape (nid 90s) Polo....nothing very unusual about that.....but not only was a a Harlequin Edition (we sold a total of two!).......

......but it had the optional Ronal Teddy alloys.....surprisingly we sold quite a few of those....almost exclusively to ladies!

I often wondered what colour was declared on the logbook for those.

Almost 30 years later I own a K1600 that is red, white, and blue, and now know the answer as its V5C states "Multi-Coloured". Every day's a school day...

A Polo Harlequin was actually Chagal Blue underneath the bolt on bits !

Ronal did a limited reissue of the Teddy Bears to OEM spec a couple of years ago, I missed out unfortunately, 🤪

Log books just said "multi".....but technically is was the roof/sill/C pillar colour They built red, green, yellow and blue Polos and just swapped all the panels around....that why there were actually four different colourways @poormansporsche .....not just blue based.

Cool, I stand corrected. I've known 2 and both had the the blue roof so just always assumed ....

Istr the harlequin was an april fool’s joke but so many people were interested that they were released.
Could be an urban myth though.
