A Labour MP

I'm sure, unlike those people who liked a dubious facebook post and were swiftly passed through the justice system to displace violent criminals from their cells, the wheels of justice will turn slowly on this one. I'm sure Labour will want to encourage the slow walking of this, because if convicted this is one of the reasons a recall petition can be launched and if 10% of the constituents sign, can force an election for a new MP.

Force the avoidance of doubt and the slow of thinking, the above post contains inaccurate information made up by me with the intention of trying to be humorous, and is in no way suggesting the Government nor law enforcement agencies would do anything illegal or untoward.

"Let me be absolutely clear about this: we never said that we didn't say that we won't be saying that we will be or won't be increasing taxes, it's all clearly laid out in the small print in our manifesto, the part written in invisible ink"

Cheer up chaps !!

Only two days until the Budget.

Only eight days until the US Election.

And just over two months until his Inauguration.

The bottom line is that this useless politician is shameless. When people encounter a shameless politician, the politician will carry on with their ill-thought-out plan
and deny the facts slapping them in the face unless their job is at risk. Then they would do whatever it takes to save their prestigious role(in their eyes)as a minister/pm, etc

If we know that fuel alcohol, and the VAT on new and used car sales is going up on Wednesday, with immediate effect.....

Hold on, must just pop out to the shops. I'll finish this post later.....

I filled up yesterday before the hike on fuel duty, it's small beer but the victory over Labour makes it feel worth more than the pennies saved.

The only other thing I've done is maxed out on the grandkids ISA's in the hope I'll live for another 7 years. The Mrs and I were already maxed out for this year.

Would this be a suitable juncture to buy 2 gallons of Vodka, a huge catering size bag of Monster Munch, firmly affix my tin foil hat and go and hibernate in the cupboard under the stairs??

And three months till WW3...... 😱

Well, this is reassuring (from The Times):

"Rachel Reeves will announce a new 'Office for Value of Money' in her Budget that will recommend government reforms to save taxpayers’ money"

Excellent! Yet another quango to add to the never-ending stream of quangos that deliver nothing other than a bureaucratic obstacle to anything actually being done. Bravo!

How long before they announce an "Office for Offices"?

Sounds like every pay day I’ve ever had

I very very rarely comment on political topics in real life or online, however I can’t help but notice the significant and negative reaction to this new Government from voters (and non-voters) of all political persuasions, including those who voted Labour.

Personally, I can’t recall there having been such a strong and universally negative public reaction, however it might just be that it’s more visible with the widespread use of social media and general anti-Government sentiment being prevalent.

It might also be that the key figures in the new Government appear to have l become used to making bold claims which they would never have to make a reality whilst in opposition, and are now struggling with the concept of making them happen.

Ies agree with what you say. Given the fiasco of the Tories I think many wanted and expected more. Labour have come in and proved as equally useless and possibly as venal.

What is possible riling so many is the general lack of competence of our MPs. Unable or unwilling to effect the necessary changes to change the trajectory of the country. They all look second rate. Would you trust many of them to run a small business, let alone a country!?
