I LIKE IT IT LOOKS VERY NICE

has some nice angles and it looks a bit like a baby cls

is it me or does that boot design not work?It looks like the lights will be jutting into the boot opening space when the lid comes up.

The rear 3/4 view of the W205 in the photo is very similar to the current Audi A4 IMO.

..... it is more likely the C-Class will get four-cylinder units that would reduce the engine to operating on just 2-cylinders when less power is needed.
I had a Jag back in the 60s that could run without two of its cylinders. It was a 1955 MkVII M with a Jaguar XK 3442cc dual overhead camshaft straight 6http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inline-6 engine. The battery was mounted against the bulkhead and too heavy for me to lift straight out so I had to remove the ignition leads from plugs 5 & 6 that protruded above the level of the camshaft covers, then lift the battery onto the covers so that I could change grip and then lift it out of the engine bay. Yes, you've guessed it - I forgot to put the leads back on after charging and replacing the battery. I'd driven quite a long way wondering why the power was down before stopping to check!!

That Jag was wonderful to me as an 18 year old and so getting my new C350 will bring back memories of the sweet 6, despite being a totally different configuration and fuel system, and delivering more than 100 bhp extra! :)

Bumping an old-ish thread, but I've been forwarded a link to what is supposed to be uncovered shots of the W205 ???????

.....

Is this for real ??????????????

I seem to recall similar looking pictures before the W204 came out, and it was nothing like it when it appeared.

nice prototype design but i really much prefer the edge like shapes in the W204 than the round ish shaped 203 or in this case 205

Hope it doesn't look like this. The rear lights are too audi, and whats with all these weird creases on the sides of the body!

We have to be careful here. One of the problems of "disguised " models is it sometimes difficult to get an idea of scale. The picture you have posted bears a close resemblance to the proposed small FRONT WHEEL DRIVE COUPE based on the new A and B class chassis made in Hungary which I assume is a different animal from the new RWD W205 C class?

I like it because it means that when the C205 comes out I'll be able to get a good deal on a late facelifted W204 :)

Incidentally, the rear lights cluster seems like it was lifted from an Alfa. Which is not a bad thing - I like Alfa Romeos.

I'll reserve judgement till I see it in the flesh I think. I'm not sure if I like the ubiquitous "jelly mold" shape all mid size cars are morphing into-- possibly in the name of aerodynamics The sharper angular lines of the present C class help distinguish it from Audi, Ford, Vauxhall, Saab etc

Not liking the old fasioned style speedo:

It certainly looks more heavier than the current model at the rear end.

As already stated above, I hope that that is not going to be the final car. It would look like an Audi but for the the-pointed start.

It won't be the final version, although speaking to a merc dealer earlier this week, they are anticipating a major revamp from the w204 both inside and out. Their views were that Merc would follow the direction they've gone with in the B-Class in terms of improving design and improved features.
