Annoying People at Tesco Petrol Stations...

23.7 mpg

Mind you , it was three up (we took my Dad's pal Ray) and chock full o' booze on the way back .... muggins here was crammed into the back seat with it ....

Averaging 80-90mph with a couple of little 'jollies' into the low triples  on the open Belgian motorway ....

I managed to get 31.7mpg  coming home from Newcastle last week (approx 130 miles)
Very economical these V8's :D

They are at 45mph!!!!!!!!!!

I've got no complaints about my SL, even though it doesn't spend much time at 45 mph it's still more economical than my Sharan :)

If people park next to the pumps and shop without buying petrol then they should be shot and their cars crushed. If they don't block the pumps up I can buy fuel without problem because I always pay@pump, they can queue out of the door and down the street for all I care ;)

So it doesnt really make you that mad then? :D

I think this very topic has been/will be discussed on the BBC programme "Grumpy Old Men".

Draw your own conclusions... ;) :)

Why not simply send the wife out to refuel the car :D

John,

Yes, I know you do, I was just supporting you. It's truly amazing how infrequently you need to visit a filling station, and having a really long range allows you to buy fuel at the best price rather than being 'caught short'! ;)

there are 24 hours in the day and , if there were 36 people would still not find thats enough time to fill their vehicle, i often wonder how we managed before 24 hour opening, sorry i dont have the answer ,if anyone has, maybe they can invent the 36 hour watch,

A bit late this (I don't get much of a chance to get on the forum) but thanks for that :) . Unfortunately Tesco seem to have stopped doing 99 ron in the one in Lancs (I think it was in Leyland) so now have to make do with 97 :(

Watch out , it can be WAR in these supremarket car parks .....

:) It has been posted before on this forum, but it still makes me laugh.

Malcolm in the Middle is quite a funny comedy series.

Might have mentioned this before, it certainly bugged me enough at the time!

At Tesco in Warwick.

Pulled up behind an already stationary vehicle.
There was me politely waiting for woman to vacate pump, she was just sat in the car. Due to length of time she was in the driver seat I assumed someone else was paying for fuel - no - she was actually on her mobile, then (after finishing her call) she FILLED UP!

I was, for once, speechless.

Angie wouldn't let me out of the car

:D Perhaps she was ordering the fuel by telephone?

That's given me an idea!!:D :D
