Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Out shopping Ant ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†
Niiiice choice btw. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Yes, out shopping Davy. Unfortunately didnโ€™t get that car because 12 months is too old for me. I wanted a newer, more expensive one.

So we got a 2nd remote key for my daughters (BMW) Mini instead. ๐Ÿ˜

Itโ€™s a little known fact that despite being uniquely designed for - and installed in - the McLaren F1, BMW parts counters can supply parts for the BMW S70/2 V12 engine. Not only that but those parts are 2.5% less expensive when purchased from a BMW dealer than from McLaren.

Handy to know when youโ€™re buying a long block and full engine reconditioning kit, for a McLaren F1 GTR like Ant is. This is on top of the full set of of carbon racing brakes, suspension servicing kit, and replacement body shell that Ant has balanced delicately on the rafters in his garage.

Lanzante are doing the work for him but they source their parts from McLaren, so Ant is taking them down from BMW Carlisle to Lanzante - along with the shell and other bits from his garage in the back of the Vito. I hope Car Play is sorted or else itโ€™s a long way to Petersfield.

Sorry Ant. I thought everyone knew ๐Ÿ‘€
Never mind Bobby, at least you didn't give away the closely-guarded secret that for that body shell he's commissioned Glasurit to mix up a special batch of Mclaren F1 orange paint for it (extra heavy on the metalflake).
Ooops ๐Ÿคญ

I hope you jest, but we really did have to buy two new complete tubs for these in 1997

As two of them did spontaneous combustion in the race like this! IMG_0296.JPG

The bill for the 2 chassis alone was over half a million.....

And parked next to it, possibly the worst body kit ever on this MX5โ€ฆ
