Have You Seen Any Interesting Cars On The Road Lately?

Very....but I do get annoyed when I see cars parked so far from the kerb that they are sticking out into the road compared to the other parked cars.....just waiting to loose a door mirror!!

So 50cm is the law is it, that seams fair, 50cm is quite a lot, any more than that, and you would be stuck out in the road and possibly deserve to be done, still say whoever booked her, was a bit bored or had a bad day. 🙂

I think it’s a 140, as well noted previously the split screen defines its marque. The rather senior gentleman driving seemed to have quite a difficult time parking her behind me, covering the area in hefty exhaust fumes. Big wheel but obviously no PS on tap for the old boy. I mentioned Villa Amanti as its elegance really stands out on Ventnor promenade.

Lovely motor, and Taxi to the kerb, like it, don't want to be damaging those wires. 🙂👍

My grandfather had a badly buckled wire wheel on the wall in his garage - a memento of clipping a roundabout in his XK150

It’s a stunning building and a world away from how it was a decade or so ago. I’d love that place 👍🏻

Not for sale is it?

Don’t think so Bobby. 🤔
Mind I can always knock and ask if you’re in the market for it. 🤭😉😎
Time flies, but it was on the market around 10 years ago but at the time it was too big to take on as a project so far from home, you might remember the former orange and yellow colour scheme.

They appear to have done a really lovely job of the renovation though, so if it was to come back on to the market again then it would be a completely different proposition, albeit much pricier too!

Is the Gaiety still there? It was looking sorry for itself last time we were there. We assumed that it would be knocked down but if I remember right it had some interesting history, so it would be a shame to lose it.

If you notice it come on the market then please do let me know 👍🏻

Vividly remember the ludicrous colour scheme, the new owner has now restored the building to its original grandeur, interior pictures lookin particularly stunning with clearly huge sums spent. Note the new bedroom balcony in the picture.
Not noticed this year, but last year the bottom tier was available to have on a holiday rental, and seemed popular.
Gaiety site is now completely clear, including the metal dome structure with a preservation order obviously ignored.
Fortunately the other ugly tumbledown structure further down has also been cleared and both are awaiting what appear well designed new builds to commence. If any sign boards appear, you’ll be the first to know. 😎

That would be much appreciated. I feared you might say that about the Gaiety, and tragic to hear they cleared the dome too :(
