W124 E320 Twin Turbo Re-spray+ Body kit progress...

Looking mint mate, definitely think it needs to be lowered, just snake the speed bumps!

yeah thats what im thinking as well,or move to a different area,or country,as long as my baby looks right.

the H&R kit gives me 30mm lowering, from what i understand, the sportline suspension i have on the car is already 20mm lower than normal,is that right? so the H&R kit won't be a signifact drop, just about 10mm....

Sportline is lower than normal, not sure how much though.

Putting the H&Rs shouldnt make it that much lower so should be fine.

Looks good, as others say a little drop would just finish it off. Any plans for a ducktail spoiler?

Looks good, but from the photos it looks like the paintwork needs to be flattened, get your bodyshop to p2000 it. Or it might just be the photos.

That's looking superb! A job well done

Are you getting the WALD spot lights for the front bumper, too?
That black one you sighted as your inspiration does, indeed, appear to be one I referred to earlier - it has a black painted rocker cover, yes?

Darren

i have the fog lights already. i have to take off the front bumper again anyway to bring up the air filter from bottom to top of engine, then i'll make a holding bracket for the fogs...wald fog lights go for 180 for the pair,i bought a pair of c43 amg fog's from ECP for 50quid,and they are identical to wald ones, fit perfect:)

Do Wald make their town fog lights for the front spoiler or do you have to incorporate MB ones ?

Looking nice.

A 30mm slam will remidy the stance. A 40-45mm slam will be to low for the kit, especially living in London.

EDIT: just read about the fogs!

You got C43 fogs for 50 notes from ECP? Wow. Do you think it would be possible to get C36 ones from them?...How did you go about this?

Cheers Dee

the c36 fogs are different i think, the c43 fogs go for 40 quid on ebay, they are also same as the CLK fog lights...same size/shape,just different plug+wiring...ECP had the c43 fog lights,i tried them on the car there, which is better than buying from ebay. you have to go in really to get the best out of ECP, both the website, and on the phone they said they have no fog lights for mercs, when i went in,i asked them for a list of every fog light they have in stock, and the chap was helpful and sourced it out for me.

btw, I dont think wald ever specified a specific fog light,i think CKS performance just added it on as an extra for those who dont know that its the same as the c43/clk amg fogs. Even when i bought my kit for them,i said to the guy that the c43 fogs fit, he said to me no they are completely different, size won't be the same bla bla bla...well,looks like hes wrong because it slots in perfect. the mesh for the front bumper,is 80 pounds from cks,i bought a 1m black mesh from halfords for a tenner...they are a rip off!! Only good thing they have is the w124 wald body kit:)

UN1L, no plans for spoiler, not a big fan of them. Im going to keep it simple on the outside, just new exhaust and wheels refurbed, more engine mods and interior mods to come:)

Could you do a HOWTO for the foglamp brackets as I need to make some too. Mine is the kit for a W202 though.

Car is looking really good man, the body shop have done an ACE job, looks sweet. You going to any GTG would love to see it. Wheels look nice too.

Does anyone know where i can find fog lights for w124 gen2?are they the same as c36?

i think they are the same as the C36, i've seen a few sets on ebay, i've even got the part numbers for them somewhere, l'll dig them up for you.

thanks guys

I received the car today, still needs some more minor touch ups but its better to keep it at mine than the garage. They washed it and polished it,but i'll still take it to my car wash guys for a full vallet, they do it really good. On the way back, had a flat tyre so pulled over, and thought i'll take few pics for now:) I love the Wald kit, enjoy!

Hi,
You car looks real nice and what a great price for the work! Mind if I ask where you had the work done?

Now that you have a nice paintjob, you should check out detailingworld.co.uk for info on how to look after it. No disrespect to your "car wash guys" but unless they are professional detailers you might end up with swirl marks all over your car.

My local car wash guys charge about £50 for a "full valet"
Pro Detailer: about £350 per day.

You should know terms like microfibre, two bucket, claybar, and know the full car care cycle: wash / clean / polish / seal / wax

Best regards,

Vent

Hi

thanks, thats exactly what i was looking for, i didnt take it for a wash just yet, because i can see small swirls, which i really dont like already...so this pro detailer,350,how long does it last?
