Hi
thanks, thats exactly what i was looking for, i didnt take it for a wash just yet, because i can see small swirls, which i really dont like already...so this pro detailer,350,how long does it last?
Hi,
Costs will vary quite a bit according to who you go to, where you are in the country and and what needs to be done. There are quite a few detailers on detailing world, they also have examples of their work in the Showroom section of the forum. £350 is a typical price for paintwork correction and full detail.
Once paintwork is corrected, it's then quite a bit cheaper for maintenance, which you can do yourself if you wish. You shouldn't need to have a full detail more than once a year if you keep up with the maintenance.
You could do the work yourself, though you need to spend quite a bit to get the materials and some time to learn the techniques. Detailing is quite a deep subject and it can take quite a while and alot of effort to detail a car to the same level as the pros.
I would recommend getting paintwork correction and the paint sealed initially to protect the new paintwork and then doing the maintenance yourself.
The main point I wanted to get across is that the "hand car wash" guys are best avoided to protect your shiny new paint on your much loved car!
Cheers,
Vent
