2010 National GTG questions and answers thread

Thats the idea!, ala Max Power events ;-)

No,you misinterpreted my post, I didn't mean there is anything wrong with North Wales. I meant it will be difficult to get her to do the journey, she is not one for travelling and the journey for us will be about 5 hours with very little motorway running. When we go to Glasgow she is moaning by the time we get to Scotch Corner (45 mins)

Anyway Yorkshire is Gods own Country, particularly "The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire" :D

LOL, I was just kidding.

Although it did take me 8 hours once to get to Yorkshire.

It's quite a trek accross country either way but well worth the effort for whats at both ends.

I have got to make the double sell to SWMBO a long journey with very little motorways and camping (not something she does but I really would like to be in the heart of the event) wish me luck and I'll see you there :thumb:

Useless bit of info -the GTG is 297 miles from my house which makes Paris nearer at only 260 miles

if you could drive all the way to Paris without getting on a ferry or the train that bit of information would only be slightly less useless :)

However, a trip to wales would be a fun drive uninterrupted by a 22 mile stretch of water or the beurocratic idiots that masquerade as our customs

The question is though which is cheaper a trip to Paris via Eurotunnel or the toll on the severn bridge:D

When do I get my ticket?

Not worried, just got your email saying "The Summer 2010 GTG (Gathering) is nearly upon us"....

We'll be issuing tickets next week - you lot kind of caught us off guard by asking how soon you could pay :)

We are on the case though

sounds good to me, so it looks like i might be able to bring some classic merc part's, and have an auto jumble stand, druk bring your wallet, dave

You coming then oldcro? Plenty sheep there so you wont get homesick. ;)

I'd love to but getting a a new car next week and the time and expense of getting there, I don't think I can make it.

Now if it was held in Yell it would be a different story...;)

without wishing to sound silly...........

How does getting a new car next week affect your plans for next June?

A small matter of living on a pension, so limited funds which are already spoken for.

I'm buying the car to full fill a lifelong dream. Probably the last good car I'll ever own. Then there is some costly work to be done around the house next year. Apart from that there is more than enough sheep here to keep me happy.

Then of course a family of polecats have started visiting to see if the cat has left any food for them, and there was no mention of polecats being allowed on the site.;)

we did say that pets are welcome as long as you keep them under control :)

Other than that, fair comment, i was only being light hearted

You quite sure of this Dave? There's no mention of an on-site bar.

I have been talking to Eddie about having an extra day or 2 in Wales with our ladies as we do at the CRX meet and he's definitely up for it
So he and his wife will be coming FROM Paris, across or under that stretch of water, through the "Garden of England" and then he can begin the 297 miles on to N. Wales :D
